Laleh Khadivi is a writer, teacher, mother, and former filmmaker. Her work and teaching open up conversations around feminism, nationalism, cities, transglobal identities and belonging. Her newest novel, Female Life on Planet Earth is forthcoming from Ecco/Harper Collins in September, 2026. She lives in Oakland, CA with her excellent family and two good dogs.

Sam McGinnis is a queer writer, maker, and organizer. They are passionate about local mutual aid work, lesbian archives, queer ecologies, fiber arts, and experimental curatorial practice. They live in Oakland, CA with a bountiful garden and two perfect cats.
